BURN, the platform for moving images by cabaret artists, is back - and this time it's all about Bourgeois & Maurice!
Combining scabrous satire, mischievous stagecraft and high-as-a-kite fashion, these musical miscreants have long been at the forefront of alt cabaret. They’ve also got a rich pedigree of on-screen outrageousness, which we’ll be exploring in full along with brand new video-interactive live turns from the duo themselves. Or as they put it, "we're showing some of our sex tapes". There's also the usual on-screen hot mess of music, comedy and documentary, including… Jonny Woo doing a TV show, Tricity Vogue dredging up a lost weekend, Bryony Kimmings going to the future, Sarah-Louise Young as an iPad widow and Ursula Martinez table dancing. Plus an exclusive excerpt from This Is Not a Dream, the feature documentary co-produced by BURN about alternative moving-image work since Warhol, which is screening at Hackney Attic on Nov 28 & 29 accompanied by bespoke live performance from Dickie Beau. So yeah, come, it'll be fun. Tickets £7/£5 concs Dates for your diary BURN with Bourgeois & Maurice live and loads of their videos
